Need An Excuse?

There are plenty of excuses to skip work. Here are a few examples:

1. The electrical company is coming to fix my power. They told me they would be here sometime between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. And they need someone here to let them in. I will come into work as soon as I can.

2. The phone or cable company is coming to upgrade my service. They told me they would be here sometime between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. And they need someone here to let them in. I will come into work as soon as I can.

3. I woke up with a fever and throwing up. I don’t think I’ll make it in today. I’ll call again later today to let you know if I will be in tomorrow.

4. My child has to stay home from school today. She/he is throwing up and has diarrhea.

An employer needs to be sensitive to your personal problems that come up in your life and your excuses to skip work. If they aren’t, you should probably find a new employer or go in business for yourself. Then you will have as much free time as you want to allow yourself.

Here are some good sick excuses. Sometimes you need to have a good sick excuse to get out of work or school.

3. Having a migraine headache can come in handy to get excused from work or school.

4. You could have tripped down your stairs the night before. You woke up with a twisted ankle and might have to go see the doctor.

7. I fell and twisted my ankle, I had to go to the emergency room.

8. My aunt, uncle, grandma, or grandpa died.

9. I have a gynecologist appointment.

Here are some serious excuses for calling in sick.

1. I have the flu. I’m achy and throwing up.

2. My car had a flat tire this morning. I’m still waiting for a tow truck to take me to the tire shop.

3. My son/daughter had to stay home from school. They have to flu and I need to take them to the doctor.

4. I have to go pick up my great aunt from her house to take her to an emergency doctors appointment.

5. I twisted my ankle last night and can’t walk today. If it doesn’t feel better by this afternoon, I have to make a doctors appointment.

6. I have cramps. (This won’t work if you are a guy)

There comes a time when we all need an excuse for some reason or another.

Whether it be an excuse for school or an excuse for work, or an excuse to get out of an event we really just don’t want to go to.
